What definition to give to QVT ?
Quality of Life at Work is a feeling of well-being at work perceived collectively and individually which includes the atmosphere, the culture of the company, the interest of the job, the conditions of work, the feeling of involvement, the degree of autonomy and responsibility, equality, a right to error grants everyone, recognition and appreciation of the work done
When did we start talking of QVT?
Started several decades ago, with a view to reducing / preventing industrial accidents in the construction industry, the recognition of Quality of Life at Work and its importance has accelerated in recent years, following the recognition of issues such as :
- Musculoskeletal Disorders
- Professional burnout issues
- Aging of the working population
- Desire for a better Work / Life balance
Is QVT the subject of a regulatory approach?
The regulatory approach, both at European and French level, especially in the services industry are going back to the years 90-2000, and has undergone a strong acceleration over the last decade
- 2013 saw the publication of a National Interprofessional Agreement, in which the concept of QVT is defined.
- 2015 was the year of the integration of the concept of QVT, to the labor code via the Rebsamen law
- Currently, both the French assembly and the French Senate, under Mrs Charlotte Lecoq, MP of the North and Mr Stéphane Artano, senator from St Pierre and Miquelon are both proponents of a bill to improve health at work
